Frequently Asked Questions

What is Etherfolk?

Etherfolk is an independent art and publishing studio devoted to biblical cosmology, historic maps, sacred diagrams, world models, architecture, and alternative interpretations of the historical record.

The collection includes original artwork, modern reconstructions, adaptations of public-domain material, and speculative compositions created in the visual language of old maps, manuscripts, diagrams, and archival objects.

Are Etherfolk products antiques or original historical artifacts?

No.

Etherfolk products are newly produced art objects. They are not antiques, recovered documents, or original historical artifacts unless a listing explicitly states otherwise.

Some designs closely follow a known public-domain source. Others are original reconstructions or compositions informed by several texts, images, or visual traditions.

The relevant product description identifies the nature of the work where that distinction matters.

Are the designs historically accurate?

Accuracy depends on the type of work.

Some pieces reproduce or restore a specific historic image. Others reconstruct a cosmological or architectural model from several sources. Some are speculative or satirical works created in a historical style.

Etherfolk aims to identify these distinctions clearly rather than present every design as a direct copy of one surviving source.

Does Etherfolk present every subject as established history?

No.

The archive includes documented historical material, religious cosmology, symbolic world models, speculative histories, satire, and alternative interpretations.

Each subject is treated as an object of study. A product or article may examine a theory without presenting every claim within it as settled historical or scientific fact.

Who creates the artwork?

Etherfolk creates, restores, arranges, or prepares the artwork sold through the store.

Unless a listing identifies a specific reproduction, the work is an original Etherfolk composition, adaptation, or reconstruction.

Where are the products made?

Etherfolk products are made to order through professional print and fulfilment partners.

Depending on the product and delivery destination, an order may be produced in the United States, Europe, or another regional facility.

Different items from the same order may be made at different locations.

Why did my order arrive in more than one package?

Different products may be fulfilled by different facilities.

For that reason, items from one order can arrive separately, on different dates, and with different tracking numbers. A partial delivery does not necessarily mean the remaining items are missing.

How long does production take?

Most orders enter production quickly, sometimes within 24 hours.

Production commonly takes between 2 and 7 business days, depending on the product and facility. Shipping time begins after production is complete.

Estimated delivery dates are shown at checkout where available, but they are not guarantees.

Is shipping free?

Standard shipping is free for eligible orders delivered within the United States.

Any applicable shipping charge is calculated and displayed at checkout before payment is submitted.

International customers may also be responsible for customs duties, import taxes, or local handling fees imposed by their country.

How can I track my order?

Tracking information is sent by email after an item ships.

Orders containing several products may receive more than one tracking number. Tracking may take up to 48 hours to update after a shipping label is created.

For help with tracking, contact connect@etherfolk.org and include your order number.

Can I cancel or change an order?

Possibly, but only before production begins.

Because products are made to order, production may begin within 24 hours of purchase. Contact connect@etherfolk.org as soon as possible with your order number.

Once production has begun, the order can no longer be cancelled or changed.

Submitting a request does not guarantee that production can still be stopped.

Can I return an item?

Because Etherfolk products are made to order, returns and exchanges are not accepted for change of mind, customer selection errors, or minor colour and material variations that are not defects, except where required by law.

Please review the product description, dimensions, colour, frame, and selected options carefully before placing an order.

What happens if my order arrives damaged or incorrect?

Contact connect@etherfolk.org within 14 days of delivery.

Include:

  • your order number;

  • a description of the issue;

  • clear photographs of the product;

  • photographs of the packaging and shipping label where relevant.

Approved claims may be resolved with a replacement or refund.

Damaged or defective items do not need to be returned unless Etherfolk specifically requests otherwise.

What if I entered the wrong address?

Contact connect@etherfolk.org immediately.

An address can be changed only if the production or shipping partner is still able to accept the correction.

Customers are responsible for reviewing the address entered at checkout. Orders delivered to that address are not eligible for a refund or free replacement because a different address was intended.

What if my package is marked delivered but I cannot find it?

First check:

  • the delivery area and any secure locations;

  • with other members of the household;

  • with neighbours, reception, or building management;

  • directly with the carrier using the tracking number.

If the package still cannot be located, contact connect@etherfolk.org within 14 days of the recorded delivery date.

Will the finished product look exactly like the website image?

Product images include digital previews, close-up views, and representative lifestyle mockups.

Minor differences can occur because of screen settings, printing processes, fabric texture, wood grain, frame finish, or normal manufacturing variation.

Use the listed dimensions rather than judging scale only from a staged room image.

Furniture, props, people, and surrounding décor shown in mockups are not included unless specifically stated.

Are frames included?

Only when the product title and description state that the item is framed.

Frame material, finish, dimensions, assembly requirements, and hanging hardware vary by product. Check the individual listing before ordering.

Are products ready to hang?

Many framed products arrive ready to hang, but specifications vary.

The product description states whether hanging hardware is included and whether assembly is required.

Can I request a custom size, colour, or design?

Custom options are not guaranteed, but inquiries are welcome.

Send the product link and requested change to connect@etherfolk.org. Availability depends on the artwork, product type, and production partner.

Can I reproduce or commercially use Etherfolk artwork?

No, not without written permission.

Purchasing a product gives you ownership of that physical item. It does not transfer copyright or grant permission to reproduce, digitize, distribute, modify, or commercially use the artwork.

Licensing requests may be sent to connect@etherfolk.org.

Can I suggest a source correction?

Yes.

Historic images and archival material do not always arrive with complete records. Good-faith corrections concerning a source, attribution, translation, or historical description are welcome.

Please include the relevant page or product link and supporting information when contacting connect@etherfolk.org.
